Camera Cinemas was thrilled in 2008 to re-open Camera 3 with a new concept that combines innovative specialized cinema, live comedy, and a contemporary urban eatery. We have partnered with ComedySportz and our new partners, Psycho Donuts, to reinvent the space into a truly unique entertainment destination unlike any other in the South Bay, mixing spunk, humor, resourcefulness, and great relationships in a hiply renovated downtown setting.
Camera 3 Cinema, known as the premiere South Bay venue for independent and foreign film for more than 20 years, temporarily closed in 2004 with the opening of our Camera 12 Cinema down the street. Continuing the tradition of providing unique and independent programming, Camera 3 re-opened in February 2008 with new Dolby Stereo SR sound systems in screens one and three, and pillow back chairs with upholstered arms and cup holders in screens two and three.
ON-SITE PARKING: Camera 3 is conveniently located on the first level of the Second & San Carlos Street Garage, located between S. Second and S. Third on E. San Carlos (entrances on both S. Second and S. Third sides). Bring your parking ticket with you to the box office to receive validation when you purchase a movie ticket. SJSU Student Short Film Festival Returns to Camera 3

By popular demand, Camera 3 Entertainment is now hosting monthly Saturday night screenings of Tommy Wiseau's The Room, an electrifying American black comedy about love, passion, betrayal and lies. Barely Legal's Rocky Horror Picture Show a Monthly Fixture
Do The Time Warp Again as Barely Legal, the Bay Area's premiere Rocky Horror Picture Show performing cast, is hosting monthly Saturday night screenings, sponsored by Psycho Donuts, at Camera 3 Cinema. All tickets are only $10, and doors open at 11:30pm (showtime at 12 midnight). Events are first Saturday of each month, with periodic added bonus screenings. BUY TICKETS
Not comedy about sports, but comedy AS a sport! ComedySportz is the award winning interactive comedy show where two teams of "act-letes" compete for audience laughs and points while improvising scenes, games, operas and musicals based on audience suggestions. A referee governs the action, calling fouls and keeping the match moving at a blistering pace. The audience is always a part of the interactive show, and sometimes even winds up on stage! It's clean, fast and fun for all audiences. San Jose's longest-running show, they've been named Editor's Choice by the Wave Magazine and Best Local Theatre by Metro's Best of Silicon Valley.
