United Nations Association Film Festival
Oct. 21st, 2007 at Camera 12

For the first time, Camera 12 Cinema was proud to host the tenth annual United Nations Association Film Festival (UNAFF), on Sun, Oct. 21st from 6-10pm. Sponsored by the The United Nations Association Midpeninsula Chapter, the festival also screened Oct. 24-28 at Stanford University.

This year's theme was Camera As Witness, celebrating the power of films and videos dealing with human rights, environmental survival, women’s issues, protection of refugees, homelessness, racism, disease control, universal education, war and peace. To further this goal, UNAFF hosts academics and filmmakers from around the world to discuss the topics in the films with the audience, groups and individuals who are often separated by geography, ethnicity and economic constraints.

The schedule at Camera 12 was as follows:

6:00pm -- My Dreams Never Lie (Afghanistan/France)
7:10pm -- Special Circumstances (Chile/USA)
8:30pm -- The Devil Came On Horseback (Sudan/USA)
