San Jose Short Film Festival

Camera 3 Entertainment was proud to host the First Annual San Jose Short Film Festival, premiering in downtown San Jose on Sat-Sun, December 5-6, 2009.

The Opening Night gala on Dec. 5th included the premiere screening of the winning shorts at 7:30pm, preceded by a mixer in the lobby at 6:30pm, and immediately followed by a Q&A forum with the filmmakers. All seats for this special event were $10. The shorts program re-screened on Dec. 6th at 2:00 and 4:30pm, with all seats priced at $6. BUY TICKETS

Presented by The Wave Magazine, the festival is dedicated to honoring and promoting short films while providing an outlet where local and national filmmakers, scriptwriters and all-around movie mongers can showcase their creative talent.

Through our partnership with Artsopolis and Camera Cinemas, the short film festival seeks to strengthen the local cultural community and enrich local, national and international creative arts endeavors. The festival is also a unique opportunity for local businesses to connect with the local arts community.

A selection committee chooses the films to be screened at the two-day event, with a three-panel judging committee then choosing the first, second and third place winners. A Viewers Choice award is given, voted on by the attendees.
