'The Social Network' Sweeps Four Globes

Jan. 16th, 2011 -- David Fincher's generation defining drama, THE SOCIAL NETWORK, solidified its role as Oscar favorite by capturing four Golden Globes, including Best Motion Picture Drama and Director, while Lisa Chodolenko's THE KIDS ARE ALL RIGHT and David O. Russell's THE FIGHTER each took home two trophies, as the 68th annual Golden Globe Awards were announced Jan. 16th in Hollywood . . . in all, three films currently playing at the Camera Cinemas earned 4 globes.

'Avatar' Claims Best Picture Globe, Bridges and Bullock Acting Awards

Jan. 17th, 2010 -- James Cameron's groundbreaking 3-D epic AVATAR, still #1 at the box office since it opened a week before Christmas and threatening to topple Cameron's own TITANIC as the biggest movie of all time, captured two Golden Globes, including Best Motion Picture Drama, while Jeff Bridges (CRAZY HEART) and Sandra Bullock (THE BLIND SIDE) took home top honors for Best Actor and Actress in a Drama, respectively, as the 66th annual Golden Globe Awards were announced Jan. 17th in Hollywood.

Rousing Danny Boyle drama 'Slumdog Millionaire' Takes Top Prizes

Jan. 11th, 2009 -- Danny Boyle's underdog story set in the slums of India, SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE, captured four Golden Globes, including Best Motion Picture Drama, while the great Kate Winslet took home top honors for both Best Actress in a Drama and Best Supporting Actress as the 65th annual Golden Globe Awards were announced Jan. 11th in Hollywood.

SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE also won for Best Director, Screenplay and Original Score. Winslet won her first Globes for her powerful performances in REVOLUTIONARY ROAD and THE READER. Mickey Rourke won Best Actor in a Drama for his work in THE WRESTLER, which also won for Bruce Springsteen's Original Song.
