Playing at:   Camera 3 Downtown - Buy Tickets
FINAL WEEK

Synopsis: Catch all of the 2016 Oscar-nominated Animated short films -- plus additional "Highly Commended" titles -- in one feature-length program:

Sanjay's Super Team (Sanjay Patel, 7 minutes/USA) -- From Pixar, the story of a young, first-generation Indian-American boy whose love for western pop-culture comes into conflict with his father's traditions.

World of Tomorrow (Don Hertzfeldt, 17 minutes/USA) -- A little girl is taken on a mind-bending tour of her distant future.

Bear Story (Gabriel Osorio, 11 minutes/Chile) -- An old, lonesome bear tells the story of his life through a mechanical diorama.

We Can't Live Without Cosmos (Konstantin Bronzit, 16 minutes/Russia) -- Two cosmonauts, two friends, try to do their best in their everyday training life to make their common dream a reality, but this story is not only about the dream.

Prologue (Richard Williams, 6 minutes/United Kingdom) -- Depicts an incident in the Spartan-Athenian wars of 2,400 years ago, in which a small girl bears witness as warriors battle to death.

HIGHLY COMMENDED:

If I Was God (Cordell Barker/8 minutes/Canada) -- A Grade 7 boy’s mind starts to wander while dissecting a frog in Biology class. What would you do if you suddenly found yourself charged with God-like powers?
The Short Story of a Fox and a Mouse (Camille Chaix, Hugo Jean, Juliette Jourdan, Marie Pillier and Kevin Roger/France) -- A lonesome fox hunts a mouse and their relationship will evolve as two owls interfere with the hunt.
The Loneliest Stoplight (Bill Plympton/6 minutes/USA) -- The life and times of a neglected stoplight.
Catch It (Sarah Menzies/10 minutes/USA/France) -- Though she grew up chasing surf in the warm waters of southern France, Lea Brassy’s nomadic lifestyle has led her to the frigid waves and rugged coastline of Northern Norway.

Running Time: 86 Minutes
(plus 8-10 minutes of trailers)
