After more than a year of intensive planning and building, our Camera 7 Cinema opened in summer 2002 in Campbell's Pruneyard Shopping Center, ushering in a new era for the Camera Cinemas and completing the most ambitious theater project we had yet undertaken. Camera 7 features the finest in mainstream and independent/art film on seven stadium-style, Dolby Digital screens with rocking chair loges and love seats, and was our first theater to adopt on-line ticketing.

In May 2009, Camera 7 entered the digital age, converting four of its auditoriums to Sony 4K digital projection, the only theater in the South Bay with this capability. With the opening of Pixar's Up on May 28th, Camera 7 added Real 3D cinema, and will soon be featuring Playstation3 on the big screen (we hope by late September).

Camera 7 houses two 300-seat screens, and five auditoriums ranging from 75 to 110 seats. The third house also serves as a VIP screening room for special rentals, events and film premieres. The grand opening featured mainstream films like Austin Powers In Goldmember, Minority Report and The Bourne Identity, and exclusive arthouse engagements of Read My Lips and Gangster No. 1.

Camera 7 is centrally located just blocks from the exits to Santa Clara Valley's two main freeways, 280 and 880. Additionally, the Pruneyard has undergone major renovation and become one of the hottest entertainment and shopping destinations in the San Jose area, hosting a wide variety of restaurants, clubs, retail outlets and businesses.
